Aiken, SC -- The Jaguars came out on the winning end of a lopsided game Friday night, crushing Catawba 97-60 and bringing their season record back to .500 at 4-4. The game was part of the Christmas Classic Tournament, played at The Courthouse on the campus of USC Aiken.
ASU had four players reach double-digits in points scored. Ben Butler led the team with 15 points, followed by David Siebrands' 14 points and Patrick Curran's 13 points. Senior Chris Harriman chipped in with 12 points on the night.
Catawba was led by Helgi Magnusson's 21 points.
ASU dominated Catawba, shooting 54.2% from the field compared to Catawba's 39.0%.
ASU has ten days off of action, returning Dec. 30th in a home rematch against Winston-Salem State, who beat the Jags 87-80 in a double-overtime game Monday night. Game time is at 7 p.m.
