Harriman Named PBC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State senior guard Chris Harriman was named the Peach Belt Conference's men's basketball Player-of-the-Week on Monday, the first ASU player to receive the honor this season.

Harriman averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals for the week as the North Division-leading Jaguars racked up two more wins on the road last week.

Harriman began with a career-high 27 points in a win at Lander on Wednesday, Jan. 22, hitting 10 of 13 field goals and five of eight three-pointers.  He also had six boards and four steals.  He came back with 10 points and six assists in ASU's win over Francis Marion on Saturday.

Remarkably, for the week, the senior point guard had only one turnover in 68 minutes of play.

On the season, Harriman is one of four Jaguars in double figures in scoring at 10.2 ppg. He ranks first in the conference in steals and among the league leaders in assists and assist-to-turnover ratio.
