Augusta, GA - Augusta State University’s men’s basketball team defeated Rollins College 70-68 Thursday night in the first round of the Queens College Classic in Charlotte, N.C. The win improves ASU's overall record to 3-1 on the season, while Rollins falls to 3-2 overall.
Festus Hawkins led the Jaguars with 17 points on six of seven shooting from the floor and seven of seven from the free throw line.
Augusta State moves on to play Wingate University Friday at 6:00 p.m. The winner of that game will advance into Saturday's championship game.
