Augusta State Notches First Win at Savannah State 68-45

 

Savannah, GA - Augusta State University’s men’s basketball team improved to 1-1 on Wednesday night with a 68-45 win at Savannah State University.  The Jaguars were without the services of center Festus Hawkins, who is out indefinitely with a leg injury.

Gary Boodnikoff led the Jaguars with 19 points and seven rebounds.  Also notching double-figures was TJ Ott with 15 points and Marcus Gradney with 11 points.

The Jaguars jumped out to a 32-15 halftime lead and never looked back.  Head Coach Gary Tuell's squad will be in action again Monday night as they host West Georgia at 7:30 p.m.
