Augusta, GA -- Augusta State University’s Gary Boodnikoff has been named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week, as released by the conference office Monday afternoon.
For the week, Boodnikoff shot 58 percent from the floor and 55 percent from three-point range, while averaging 19.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
Boodnikoff scored 26 points on nine of 11 shooting from the floor and six of seven from three-point range in an 80-53 win over Lander University Saturday night. He also added six rebounds.
Earlier in the week Boodnikoff scored 17 points in a one-point overtime win against USC Spartanburg and 16 points in a 77-70 road win at UNC Pembroke. Boodnikoff added two three-pointers against the Rifles and then four three-pointers against the Braves.
Boodnikoff is a 6-7 junior guard from Alice Springs, Australia.
