replace Hawkins' missing offensive production. Gary Boodnikoff led
the Jaguars with 16 points off the bench. Guard Jayme Johnson had
15 points, forward Marcus Gradney had 11 points and forward Russell
Hinder had 10 points. Boodnikoff added seven rebounds and guard
T.J. Ott had a game-high nine rebounds.
The Braves were led by point guard Jay Bruer's 17 points on 5-of-7
shooting. Center Mark Schmitz added 14 points. Guard Derrick
Stinson had 13 points off the bench and guard Melvin Farrington had
12 points. Schmitz led the Braves with eight rebounds.

shooting just 29 percent in the first half. Augusta State also had
11 offensive rebounds in the game.
UNCP falls to 3-9 overall and 0-2 in the conference with the loss.
Augusta State improves to 9-3 overall and 4-0 in the
conference.
Both UNCP teams will return to action this Saturday night in the
Jones center when they host The University of South Carolina at
Aiken in another conference doubleheader. The women play at 5:30
followed by the men at 7:30.
