MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Augusta University baseball team dropped a 9-0 Peach Belt Conference game to the Georgia College Bobcats on Sunday afternoon at John Kurtz Field.

Augusta (18-28, 7-23 PBC) and Georgia College (23-18, 13-12 PBC) were even in the series on Easter Sunday after each won a game in Saturday's doubleheader, but the Bobcats were too much in the finale.

Augusta senior Christian Griffin (2-8) started his ninth game for Augusta on the mound and pitched 4.2 innings. Griffin struck out four and surrendered four hits for six runs (five earned). The Bobcats scored an unearned run in the bottom of the first off a Jaguar infield error and poured it on with two in the third and three in the fifth and sixth.

Senior Devin Bilardello was 2-for-4 for Augusta and freshmen Brian Smith and John Paul each recorded a hit.

AU hosts Lynn University Friday and Saturday, April 26-27 at Jaguar Field in Augusta, Ga. The Jaguars face Lynn on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and will celebrate 2019 Senior Day prior to its Saturday, April 27 doubleheader.
