In the second meeting, the teams combined for 13 runs in the three first innings and the score changed six times in the contest, but the Wolves survived to get their ninth straight win.

Augusta freshman Ben Markiewicz went 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI, sophomore Skylor Murphy was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in the leadoff spot, and senior Zack Goble carded two RBI on one. The Wolves withstood and plated six in the second and one in the third to lead 8-5 heading into the fourth. AU kept it going in the fourth when Goble drove in two more with a double to get the squad into a one-run battle.
