AUGUSTA, Ga. – After hosting all games off campus for the last several years, the Augusta University baseball team is back home for 2019 to host all its dates at Jaguar Field. The Jaguars play 13 games at home in the month of February and kick off the season Feb. 1-2.

"We are excited to be returning back home to Jaguar Field," head coach Chris Howell said. "The Jaguars haven't played a full season on campus in numerous years. We have made continued progress every day to improve the facility and plan to upscale the ball park even more. Our schedule features 28 home games that will keep us close to home and we're ready to get going."

Jaguar Field has seen extensive upgrades to the playing surface, the outfield wall, and the surrounding area with plans to do more.

Howell and the squad kick the season off with a 10-game homestand at Jaguar Field. AU hosts Mars Hill Feb. 1-2 for the season-opening weekend. The season opener first pitch will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, with Saturday featuring a non-conference doubleheader starting at 11:00 a.m. against Mars Hill.

Augusta hosts Anderson for a midweek non-conference bout on Wednesday, Feb. 6 before hosting Francis Marion Feb. 9-10 to begin Peach Belt Conference play. The Jags close their home streak by hosting UNC Pembroke (Feb. 15-17) for a three-day PBC series, starting at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

For the first time of the season, Augusta hits the road to face non-conference opponent Emmanuel on Wednesday, Feb. 20 in Franklin Springs, Ga. The team returns home for the weekend to host PBC foe Georgia Southwestern Feb. 23-24.
