SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – After signing his second professional baseball contract, Augusta University baseball alum Clint Hardy has reached the All-Star break with the Schaumburg Boomers out of Schaumburg, Illinois.

Hardy started three seasons in the outfield for the Jaguars from 2015-2017 after transferring for his sophomore season. He was named an All-American, All-Region, and All-Conference in 2015 after he hit .445 to lead the Peach Belt Conference and post the best single-season batting average in school history.

After graduation, Hardy signed a deal to play with the Traverse City Beach Bums – a professional member of the East Division of the Frontier League out of Traverse City, Mich.

Inking a deal with the Schaumburg Boomers at the beginning of the season, Hardy kept his talents in the Frontier League. He has played in 34 games for the Boomers in the outfield and posted a .238 batting average with 24 hits, 15 runs, and 13 RBI. The Boomers have a 26-24 record at the break and sit third in the East Division.

The Boomers were founded in 2011 and have already captured three league championships (2013, 2014, and 2017). The Boomers are the first team in Frontier League history to have won the league Championship more than twice.
