AUGUSTA, Ga. – Teaming with the Augusta University Medical Center, the Augusta Jaguars baseball team hosts the Lab Week game this Friday, April 27 at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Augusta hosts Lynn University for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference game and the AU Medical Center will be in attendance!
The national Medical Laboratory Professionals Week is April 22- 28, 2018, and is an annual celebration of medical laboratory professionals and pathologists who play a vital role in health care and patient advocacy.
"Lab Week is something that has already been happening around the nation, so it just makes sense to support this initiative," head baseball coach Chris Howell said. "As a research university with a health center, these events are crucial in building engagement and support for institution."
The AU Medical Center team will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, compete in on-field games, and have information available to fans.
