ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Augusta University baseball team fell 13-8 to the No. 6 nationally-ranked Flagler Saints on Sunday afternoon at Drysdale Field.

After the Jaguars (8-18, 7-12 PBC) and Flagler (22-4, 14-1 PBC) each won a game to start the series, game thee was the deciding factor. Flagler fought off AU to take the series.

Both teams combined to hit 16 home runs in the three-game series – highlighted by AU's eight in game two to tie a PBC single-game team record. Junior Zack Goble and senior Ty Hobbs each hit three homers in game two and Goble added two more in game three.

Goble was 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs, junior leadoff batter Devin Bilardello went 3-for-6 with a run and RBI, and freshman Trent Maddox had a 3-for-5 performance for Augusta.

Freshman lefty Charlie Cochran (0-2) made his third start of the season for Augusta and gave up three runs in the first inning, before the Jags went to senior Casey Lenoch in the bullpen. He pitched 2.1 innings to allow four runs, Aron Chick tossed 2.1 innings, and Cody Pugh finished the day with three innings of work.
