Jags Baseball Shifts UNC Pembroke Series To Avoid Rain

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta Jaguars have moved their weekend Peach Belt Conference series with the UNC Pembroke Braves to a single game on Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The Jags will play one game on Friday, March 10 at 6:00 p.m. and a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11.

Augusta (7-10, 2-4 PBC) was set to meet UNCP (15-5, 1-2 PBC) for a single game on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but expected rain washed out Sunday's game.

GAME 1 (Friday, March 10)

GAME 2 (Saturday, March 11)

GAME 3 (Saturday, March 11)

The annual cancer awareness game will take place on Saturday! The game serves to raise awareness and funds for cancer research with all proceeds going to the Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University. The Georgia Cancer Center will be on site for the game to take donations, inform fans on how to get involved, and hand out items to the crowd! Prior to game one, numerous cancer survivors will be in attendance to join the teams for the ceremonial first pitch, starting lineups, and National Anthem.

Operation Teammate will also be on hand for Saturday's double feature Op. Teammate provides an opportunity for sports teams to welcome children of military parents as honorary teammates during times of separation and deployment. Kids will meet the teams, run the bases, meet the teams, and get autographs!
