Senior Tristan Jones Earns Second PBC Pitcher Of The Week Award Of His Career

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University senior starting pitcher Tristan Jones has been named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week for his complete-game performance on Saturday, Feb. 11 against West Georgia. The Peach Belt announced the award from their league offices in Augusta, Ga., on Tuesday afternoon.

Tristan Jones (Kingsland, Ga.) pitched a complete-game two-hitter as the Jaguars picked up their first win of the season 2-1 over West Georgia. The senior righty struck out three and gave up just one earned run in the effort.

After allowing the Wolves a run on a sac fly in the third, Jones sat down the next 10 batters in order and retired the side in order six times, including the ninth inning. He is currently second in the PBC in innings pitched and has one of the two complete games thrown in the league so far this season.
