YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. -- Young Harris broke open the game with a 10-run sixth inning Friday afternoon and rolled to a 15-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over Augusta State at Zell B. Miller Field.

The Mountain Lions (13-15, 3-13 PBC) scored in the first, third and fifth innings for a 5-0 lead off ASU starter Kip Custer (5-4). YHC, which blasted two homers and a pair of doubles on the afternoon, then sent 13 men to the plate in the sixth inning against Custer and reliever Dalton Reed.

Three ASU pitchers allowed 10 hits and combined for eight walks against six strikeouts.

Jeff Rice was the only Jaguar with more than one hit. The junior second baseman went 2-for-4 with a double.

The Jags (10-23, 3-13 PBC) and YHC play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
