Rob Zeyfang To Lead Fundraising Efforts For Augusta Athletics

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Director of Advancement Rela­tions at Augusta University, Rob Zeyfang, will now focus on fundraising and support for the Augusta University athletic department and its 13 NCAA teams.

 

"I am excited to have this new challenge of working closely with the Director of Athletics Clint Bryant, our coaches, and the community to grow support for our teams and student-athletes," Zeyfang said.

Zeyfang joined the university in 2006 as the Director of Development for the Medical College of Georgia and has also served as COO for Foundations at the university. He previously served as Practice Administrator for Medical Oncology Associates of Augusta and Director of University Hospital's Georgia Heart Institute in Augusta, Georgia.

 

Originally from Augusta, he earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Georgia. He is currently a member and President of the Board of Directors of the Augusta University Birdie Club, a boosters organization supporting the university's men's and women's golf teams.

 

His community involvement has included serving on and chairing a number of organization boards, including Leadership Augusta, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta, Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology Administrators Association, the region's Emergency Medical Services Council, and the Richmond-Columbia County Division of the American Heart Association.

 

Since 1989, Zeyfang has volunteered with AU Health's Children's Hospital of Georgia's Camp Rainbow as a camp counselor. He has also served as a Community Advisory Board member and is a volunteer for Camp Strong Heart.

 

Augusta Jaguar athletes are champions on and off the field and many of our student-athletes would not be able to attend Augusta without donor contributions.
